This section of our website is dedicated to Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. We will update this page with relevant information on topics such as meetings or information evenings held either at school or in the wider community. We will also add website links and documents that we think might be of interest to parents.

Solihull Local Authority Additional Needs Strategy
Solihull Local Authority have written a strategy which outlines their vision for children and young people with additional needs in Solihull. This strategy is for any child or young person, up to the age of 25 years’ old who lives in Solihull and has a special educational need (SEND) or additional need. It is also for their parent carers and others who support them.

Solihull Family Information Service
Solihull Local Authority have aParents’ Network that provides information on local events and services of interest to all families. They send out regular news and information about family activities and events in Solihull. You can register on the Parents’ Network page to receive a regular copy of this.

Since Whizz-Kidz was founded in 1990, they have transformed the lives of over 18,000 disabled children. They provide essential mobility equipment to help young disabled people to be independent, and run youth groups (known as Ambassador Clubs), Wheelchair Skills Training sessions, residential camps and Work Placements to help young people develop and reach their potential. |

Delivering SEND activity programmes across the West Midlands
Inclusive Sports academy are driven and motivated towards achieving positive results for all children through engaging them in their activity programmes. They strongly believe in being unique in their approach and the key to their success has been investing time in the children. Inclusive Sports Academy specifically designs sessions that are tailored to ensure the needs of the children are met in an environment they feel relaxed and ready to learn in. |
