SUMMER TERM 2026
What a busy final term this is going to be! Our primary focus is further developing the children’s writing skills through a range of interesting topics and genres in English whilst additionally preparing for an exciting end-of-year production.
In mathematics, we will continue to consolidate children’s fluency and reasoning through many challenges and also finish learning about shape, position and direction.
In science we will be learning about Electricity, which will complement our project in Design Technology ‘Controllable Vehicles’. The children will be designing, making and evaluating their cars in partnership with Arden Academy D & T department, who will be printing and laser cutting the pupils’ designs in readiness for our Dorridge Grand Prix competition.
We are also hoping to learn how to plan and prepare a meal. Through history and geography we will be learning about where energy comes from and how the census can be used.
During PSHE lessons, we will be considering changes and relationships, and completing our work on drugs education. To assist transition to secondary school, projects will be completed to inspire the children for their next step in education. And of course, the most important item in our pupils' diaries: a residential trip to PGL.
