In our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), we emphasise a selection of core books and songs that we aim for our children to know well before they transition to the next stage. These carefully chosen materials are not just entertaining but are also designed to be revisited repeatedly, allowing children to engage with them on various levels.

This consistent exposure supports language development, helping children expand their vocabulary and foster a deep love for reading and music. By becoming thoroughly familiar with these fun, repetitive books and songs, children can gain confidence in retelling the stories and singing the songs independently.
