Creativity is an important part of life in Reception and children are encouraged to explore, create and express themselves in a wide variety of ways. Through art, music, dance, role play and imaginative play, children develop confidence, curiosity and a love of creative learning.

Through carefully planned experiences and continuous provision, children experiment with colour, texture, design, movement and sound while developing confidence in their own creativity. Adults support children to explore new ideas, use their imagination and talk about their creations and experiences.

Creative opportunities are woven throughout both the indoor and outdoor environment, encouraging children to collaborate, perform, create and develop a love of self-expression through meaningful and engaging experiences.
