GREAT NEWS AT DPS!

We are delighted to share the outcome of our recent Ofsted Ungraded Inspection Report : "Dorridge Primary School continues to be a good school. There is enough evidence of improved performance to suggest that the school could be judged outstanding if we were to carry out a graded (section 5) inspection now. "

Head Teacher's Welcome - Mrs Ashe

Welcome to Dorridge Primary School. We are a large, three-form entry, community Primary School maintained by Solihull MBC. In addition, we have morning Nursery sessions with up to 40 children in each morning session. We also offer high quality wraparound care in our purpose built provision at Darby's.  We pride ourselves on providing a nurturing environment, where children can develop into confident young people with a real thirst for learning.

Our website has been designed to give you a flavour of life at Dorridge, we've included a gallery of images taken around the school. We hope it helps you to gain an understanding of how our school is organised and appreciate the exciting learning opportunities on offer to the children in our care.

As the Head Teacher, I am extremely proud to lead a talented team that are hard-working and committed to achieving high standards; whilst providing a caring and nurturing environment.

I feel it is vital to provide a learning environment in which Parents, Staff, Governors, and the PTA work together in partnership for the benefit of our pupils. Together we ensure that our pupils achieve their full potential, developing skills to become independent, life-long learners, who leave us as responsible citizens that are respectful and tolerant.

Above all, we strive to encourage initiative within a happy, healthy and safe environment where all achievement is valued and celebrated. Our rewards systems enable all pupils to achieve their own personal best; whilst recognising good behaviour and manners. Further to this, we deliver a broad, balanced, and enriching curriculum that promotes challenge and creativity, enabling all pupils to make a positive contribution towards their own and others’ learning experience.
