The International Primary Curriculum (IPC)
We started introducing the IPC in Years 1 to 6 from September 2016, with some taster sessions during the 2015 - 2016 school year. Some basic information on this curriculum can be found on the Introduction Page. The IPC is split into a number of topics which are studied in different terms during the academic year.
Implementation
As each topic is started, parents will receive a letter summarising the content of that topic. Copies of these letters will be included on the individual year group pages on this site. An overall summary of the topics that will be studied across KS1 and KS2 is included below. Please note that the summary curriculum map is printed on A3 paper using a small font size in order to get all the information on.
Background
A copy of the presentation originally made to parents at a meeting in March 2016 is available from the link below. This includes photographs from a taster session on Ancient Egypt. We have also included links to a couple of documents for parents that cover ways to help children with their learning.
