Nursery Wraparound (30 hours provision available)

Darby's provides wraparound care on the school site for Nursery children during morning and afternoon sessions, including lunch, when they are not attending Nursery. Our teacher led wraparound sessions take place in our spacious, main Darby's room with its own large outdoor area. The children also take advantage of school resources such as our Forest School site, libraries, outdoor play equipment and large field. Sessions are play based in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. Darby's and Early Years staff work closely to plan and assess your child's time in Nursery in order to give them the best possible start to their learning journey at Dorridge. This supports your child to gain the fundamental skills to be school ready for their Reception year.

Other care available

In addition, Darby's provides wraparound care for all pupils Nursery to Year 6 before and after school. All care is provided in our Darby's purpose built facilities, Darby's main room, The Hub and The Den.

Children are escorted between Darby's and other parts of school during change over periods.
