World Book Day 2017 (20 images)

On Thursday 2nd March the whole school took part in celebrating World Book Day 20 by dressing up as a book character. Celebrating 20 years of World Book day there were a huge range of characters in school on the day. Nursery Team came dressed as crayons from the book The Day The Crayons Quit by Drew Daywalt, illustrated by Oliver Jeffers. Reception and Year 1 staff came dressed as Thing One and Thing Two from Dr Seuss and Year 2 staff as characters from Alice In Wonderland. In Key Stage 2 there were some very scary Dementors from Harry Potter in Year 6 and Mary Poppins had taken over as Head Teacher for the day! The children enjoyed sharing their favourite books with one another and creating a buzz for reading throughout school.
